Blink 182 “TOYPAJ” Update 3 / Limited Pressing

Before I get into the update section of this e-mail, I would like to extend my personal apology for not having sent out an update sooner, as I had originally promised. The lack of an update on my part is completely unprofessional and cannot be excused. I hope that you accept my apology and can look past the situation.

I received an update from the pressing plant today, and everything is rolling smoothly. I have decided to set a revised release date of December 20th, 2011. I know that this is a long time a way, and is way past the original pre-order and release dates. I want to make sure that we can set a date and commit to it, instead of giving you a closer date and missing it again. I have every intention of sending orders out as soon as the vinyl comes in, which we are anticipating to be before December 20th. If this revised release date requires you to change your mailing address with us, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me [rj@mtsrecords.com] and I will change it right away.

For those of you who’ve been patient with this release, we’re going to reward your tolerance and support in a couple different ways. First off, please use the following code ["toypajpatience"] to receive 50% off your next order in the Mightier Than Sword webstore. This includes pre-order items, re-issue items and anything else you can think of. Please don’t share this code with anyone else, this is exclusively for you because you’ve waited so long for us to get this release out to you.

Secondly, we will be sending you a FREE release next year. We are still working out the details of this release, but I can assure you it will be of interest to you. As soon as we know more, I will release the details and explain how this will work.

Thirdly, if you ordered another release or merch item with your “Take Off Your Pants And Jacket” order [LP, 7", or both], all items that are in-stock and available to ship are being posted today, and will ship out Monday [11/14] morning [today is a U.S. holiday and the post office is closed]. You will be receiving a tracking number from us later today. If you don’t, please e-mail me [rj@mtsrecords.com] so I can look and see if there is an issue and make sure you’re taken care of.

Lastly, I have been talking with one of the band members about including a special note with all of the pre-orders. We are still finalizing details, so I don’t want to fully announce this just yet just in case it doesn’t happen for some reason, but we are close to confirming this and only pre-orders through the Mightier Than Sword webstore will have these included. Another way for us to say thank you for being so patient. As soon as this is confirmed, I will send out an e-mail with all of the details.

If you scroll to the bottom of this e-mail you will see a mock-up of the entire layout, with the full artwork and packaging. This of course is far from actually having the record in your hands, but hopefully it will get you excited to finally have a revised release date and an idea of how incredible this re-issue will be.

As I wrote in my last update: if for some reason you don’t want to wait any longer to receive this record, please e-mail me directly rj@mtsrecords.com and I will send you a refund. Hopefully this isn’t the case, but I know waiting is often frustrating. If you choose to wait, I am confident you will be happy you did.

If you place an order through the MTS webstore using the “Take Off Your Pants And Jacket” pre-order discount, and haven’t pre-ordered the record, your order will be voided!! No exceptions.
